Did the knicks make the wrong choice by choosing carmelo instead of deron williams?

It is a pretty close call. Carmello doesnt play much D and it is questionable if he goes 100 percent all the time. They did get Billups along with him but he will only be relevant for 2 more years if that probably. Carmello is a scorer, Deron is a per and a scorer. If not for Billups I would say that Deron Williams would have been a better choice. But getting both of them is probably a little bit better than Williams
