If I have a 537 credit score is that considered poor?

I have been applying for secured cards and have gotten accepted just checked my credit score and wanted to know if with my score would I have gotten approved for a unsecured card. If so I feel as if I may have wasted money on getting secured. I was just scared I wouldn't have gotten approved.
