Problems with Xbox 360...again?

I have had my xbox for a long time now and it usually show a message that says this desk is unreadable and that I should clean the disk with a cloth and restart it. I did that and it still said the same thing, and it isn't the disk because I bought it the day it came out so... any ideas except for sending it back to xbox because I think my warranty ran out
